2013 herbarium

this year i've been collecting intense moments, lots of pictures, plus some leaves and flowers. so i decided to arrange them all in a little herbarium, which is also a photo album.

it seems a nice idea to collect memories from the past year, so i'm sharing some pages with you. hope you like it!

in some cases, i matched the photo and the flower because they belong to the same day, in others, i let colors and feelings inspiring me the match.

to paraphrase Neil Gaiman, i wish your 2014 to be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. don't forget to sing, to laugh, to sip some good wine, to call someone you haven't talked to in a long time. may you kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful. hope you read some fine books and receive some snail mails. i wish you to travel to a place you've never been to, and, finally, to find a way to surprise yourself, once again

christmas market in Bruneck. December, Sunday 1st

shiny brezel, cups of hot beverages to warm up cold fingers, holiday mood until your head spins.
in small doses, i love christmas markets.

i usually pay my visit early, when they are just opened and not so crowded. this year, i went to Brunico/Bruneck with my family, on the first sunday of december. Brunico is a lovely town in South Tyrol, a good place for a stroll or outdoor fun, both in summer and winter.

needless to say, my favorite market stalls where the food & beverage themed ones. from candies to hot dogs, from local cheese (!) to local salami (!!). i had my nose frozen but a warm feeling inside.

so far it had been the only christmassy thing i've done this year. all the big lunches and dinners are going to start next week.

what do you do during the holiday season? any nice tradition?

town festival

one of those small town sundays. with the fair, chestnuts and quirky characters.
it could be easily called Stars Hollow (minus the gazebo), but it's Cordignano instead.
